MoodBoard
This is my moodboard. I included images that I felt connected well with the music genre of rock which is what my music magazine is based on. I included all different artists in different genres that make rock as a whole. Some of these artists were, The Smiths, Oasis, The Clash, Kate Bush, Foster The People and Lana Del Rey. Therefore expressing different types of rock artists through different eras and genres by choosing a varied display of artists to convey the overall theme of rock. I chose to include music by This Mortal Coil and their song, Song to the Siren as this band is a subgenre of rock which is Ethereal Wave/Gothic rock therefore representing another subgenre of rock in my moodboard through the music. This indicates that my magazine is a magazine about rock but also the many subgenres of rock and this helps show my inspirations when making my magazine and the types of content it will be based on.

Enchanted Palace Film Making - Duty

On our media trip to Kensington Palace, we were put into groups and made our own films of themes linked to the Enchanted Palace. I was in the group with Nicole Antonio, Hanan Ali and Chiara Collu. Our theme was duty. We then decided to film the footsteps on the floor and then fade this into the toy soldiers, this is a good idea because it's as if boys were growing up and then going straight into the army, showing the importance of the role and how it's their duty to be soldiers. We filmed the soldiers also in rows behind one another showing how many of them there were conveying a sense of belonging . We also filmed the shield and throne because its quite a powerful image of respect and the shield represents a pledge of allegiance.
